The actress was regularly seen at the hospital, staying by Kim’s side as she fought for her life. Despite the medical team’s best attempts to stabilize her, Kim’s health deteriorated, and she passed away, leaving a void in Jacqueline’s life.

Jacqueline had been scheduled to perform at the IPL opening ceremony on March 26, 2025, in Guwahati, during the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. However, in light of her mother’s condition, the actress chose to remain at her mother’s side, prioritizing family over her professional commitments. A source close to Jacqueline revealed that she opted out of the performance to be there for her mother during her recovery in the ICU, saying, “Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates, Jacqueline has chosen to stay by her mother’s side.”
Support from Salman Khan and Past Health Struggles
During this difficult time, Jacqueline received support from her close friends, including her Kick co-star Salman Khan, who was spotted visiting her mother at the hospital to offer his support. It is worth noting that Kim had previously suffered a stroke in 2022, which had led to her hospitalization in Bahrain. Jacqueline’s mother, who lived in Manama, Bahrain, had a multicultural background with Malaysian and Canadian heritage. Her maternal grandfather was Canadian, while her great-grandparents hailed from Goa, India.
