Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s reported marital differences have continued to attract public attention, with both making statements about their relationship. Their family members have also been questioned by the paparazzi about the ongoing controversy whenever they appear in public.
Recently, Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek’s wife Kashmera Shah reacted strongly when photographers asked her about Govinda and Sunita. She asked the paparazzi not to question her about people who are no longer together and made it clear that she supports Sunita during the current situation.
Speaking to the paparazzi, Kashmera said, “Woh meri family hai aur main apni family ko protect karungi. Main apni family ki auraton ke saath khadi hoon. Agar likhna hai, samajhna hai toh yeh samjho ki main Sunita ke saath khadi hoon. Aaj tak unhone kabhi awaaz uthayi hai? Kabhi kaha hai ki yeh galat hai voh galat hai? Aaj bol rahi hai na toh hoga kuch galat,” (That is my family and I will protect them. I stand with the women in my family. If you want to write or understand anything, understand this: I stand with Ssunita. Has she ever raised her voice before? Has she ever said that something is wrong? She is speaking up today, so there must be something wrong).”

Krushna Abhishek also requested the paparazzi to avoid asking questions about their family and allow personal family matters to remain private.
The controversy reportedly gained attention after Govinda was seen with his co star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Sunita later referred to Govinda as Komal’s ‘Sugar daddy’ while speaking to the paparazzi. Her comment was followed by statements from Govinda, who reportedly asked her to ‘stay in her limits.’
Sunita was later spotted at a family court in Mumbai. During a conversation with Rakhi Sawant, she claimed that she had visited the court to withdraw an old divorce petition. She also alleged that Govinda and Komal were planning to get married.
However, Govinda’s manager denied the claims in an interview with India Today. Reacting to reports of a possible second marriage, the manager said, “I am hearing this from you. Aisa kuch nahi hai aur nahi hoga. Koi doosri shaadi nahi ho rahi (There’s nothing like this, nor will it happen. There’s no second marriage happening). She is his wife, and there must be something going on in her mind that she made those claims.”
The statements from the family members have added another layer to the ongoing public discussion surrounding Govinda and Sunita’s relationship.
