Very much as per our box-office report (prediction), there is a stalemate as far as the KHOOBSURAT versus DAAWAT-E-ISHQ face off is concerned. Both have opened to a rather disappointing 15-25 percent start on an average. Given the ‘Shradh’ phase there was not much improvement in the latter shows either for the Sonam Kapoor-Fawad Khan starrer KHOOBSURAT or the Aditya Roy Kapur-Parineeti Chopra starrer DAAWAT-E-ISHQ.

Meanwhile, last week’s Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia starrer, FINDING FANNY (which flattered to deceive on the second day), and Vikram Bhatt’s Bipasha Basu starrer, CREATURE 3D, ended up with a disappointing opening week of 25 crore and 16 crore (both subject to validation), respectively.

In fact it has been a rather disappointing phase at the ticket window for the past few weeks, as except for Priyanka Chopra’s MARY KOM and Rani Mukerji’s MARDAANI all the new releases have failed to make a mark.
