Kriti Sanon is all set to star alongside Dhanush in the much-anticipated film Tere Ishk Mein, marking a powerful new on-screen pairing. On Tuesday, the filmmakers unveiled a captivating teaser showcasing Kriti in a deeply enigmatic avatar. Her portrayal radiates intensity and emotional complexity, promising a rich cinematic experience. The teaser’s hauntingly beautiful score, composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman, hints at an unforgettable musical journey.

Speaking about the project, Rai explained, “It is from the world of Raanjhanaa, but… it’s an expansion rather than an extension. It enhances the emotional depth with a new narrative.” Written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, the film delves into themes of love and tragedy, weaving a poignant tale that reflects Rai’s evolution as a filmmaker.
The teaser is also accompanied with a thought-provoking voiceover, an unidentified actress poses a question before Shankar “Shankar, Ishq mein sirf ladke hi marte hai kya? Kuch ladkiya bhi kaleja rakhti hai jaan dene ka.” This dialogue is very suggestive and sets a tone for a cinematic journey promised to be quite emotional.
The movie is written by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar and features poetic lyrics by Irshad Kamil along with the score of Rahman. Though production was delayed as Dhanush had some commitments prior to this, Tere Ishk Mein will now go on floors in October 2024 and is set for a 2025 theatrical release.
