Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder at his residence, resulting in injury and subsequent surgery. He was hospitalized, and the news spread across the film fraternity in a flash. His co-stars, including Shahid Kapoor, who worked with him on Rangoon, expressed their worry and wished for his speedy recovery.
Now that Saif is out of the hospital on January 21, Shahid Kapoor expresses his relief and happiness about his co-star’s recovery. In a chat with Screen, Shahid expressed shock at what had happened. He said that circumstances like these can happen to anyone and that there is no point in viewing only celebrities as “soft targets.” He underlined that while the incident commanded attention primarily because of Saif’s celebrity status, there is a semblance of danger here that can affect anyone else in the society, and it is alarming enough.
