Saif Ali Khan fights for life! Shocking details of knife attack and emergency surgery

Saif Ali Khan is admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai as a result of being attacked by a burglar at his home in Bandra early this morning. The attempted burglary took place at around 3 AM in the house, which Saif shares with wife Kareena Kapoor and their kids. According to reports, the intruder attacked Saif with a sharp weapon while he was trying to confront him. The six wounds included two deep ones on his person.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that one of the deep injuries was close to Saif’s spine. Saif has been operated on by a team of medical specialists consisting of neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. The hospital’s statement confirmed that the injuries were severe and mentioned that the actor remains in critical care.

The Mumbai Police are definitely investigating the case. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam spoke to the media and said: “An unidentified person intruded into the residence of actor Saif Ali Khan. The actor and the intruder fought. The actor was injured and is being treated. A probe has been launched to trace the accused and ensure his arrest.” Currently, authorities are scanning CCTV footage in a hunt for the attacker and gathering evidence.

Saif’s team issued a statement requesting privacy at this time:
“There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.
