Saira Banu got emotional while speaking to the media at the funeral of veteran actress Nanda, who passed away yesterday morning after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.
”I am devastated by Nanda’s demise. Day before yesterday we spoke on the phone and she was thanking me for the dress I sent her as a birthday gift. She had called me to say that she had worn the dress at the kitty party and that everyone loved it. And the next day I came to know about this news,” said an emotional Saira.

Another veteran actress Tabassum, also got emotional and broke into tears. ‘I am saddened by Nanda’s death. She was a very dear friend and I can’t believe what has happened. She was cooking in the kitchen, when she suffered a massive attack and passed away then and there, before providing her any medical aid,” expressed Tabassum.

Nanda was 75 years and has acted in many films including GUMNAAM, HUM DONO, ITTEFAQ, PREM ROG among others.
