Film Guru Sooraj Barjatya, the creator of Salman Khan’s on-screen persona Prem, is in plan to team up with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in one of his new ventures. In an interview, Barjatya expressed his enthusiasm about working with the industry’s leading man once again. He said that he was writing a new script which will definitely bring back the character that captured everybody’s hearts: Prem; but this time, more matured. The project, though being developed at present, is likely to give a new perspective in relation to the character, which is more relatable to Salman’s current age and retains the fun, charm, and family values that made the character so iconic.

The director said that, although the new version of Prem will retain what people love in him, the character will be used to tell a more mature narrative in it as his and Salman’s personal growth reflects over the years. This was proving to be more time-consuming to get right than he had originally anticipated because he wants to create a version of the character which will feel honest to both the actor and to audiences.
