Is Sanam Teri Kasam 2 coming sooner than you think? Makers share exciting update on release date

Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), a romantic drama starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has seen a rejuvenated revival after being re-released quite recently. Fans feel reconnected to this emotional narrative, and there is much excitement for the long-awaited sequel, Sanam Teri Kasam 2.

Sequel Already in the Works
In an interview with India Forums, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru confirmed that they have been developing the sequel for several years. They revealed that when they wrote the first film, they intended for the story to be a two-part narrative. The emotional climax of Sanam Teri Kasam, where Inder (Harshvardhan Rane) travels towards a tree while Saru’s (Mawra Hocane) voice echoes away in the surroundings, was meant to distinctly lead to the next chapter.

Besides that, the directors informed that the script to the sequel is already complete, and most of the songs have been done with. Given the response to the re-release of the first film, they feel that there is no way they could let anything stop them from bringing Sanam Teri Kasam 2 to theatres by Valentine’s Day 2026.
Directors have confirmed the sequel through their official social media announcement, revealing that Harshvardhan Rane will be reprising his role as Inder.
