Both the releases of the week, the Arshad-Soha starrer, MR. JOE B. CARAVLAHO and GP Sippy’s timeless classic SHOLAY 3D, failed to cut much ice with the audience. Not surprisingly it was the Amitabh, Dharmendra and Amjad starrer SHOLAY 3D which opened at a much better 25-30 percent occupancy at the multiplexes as opposed to the 10-15 percent start by MR. JOE B. CARVALHO. From the two releases, it is the 3D version of SHOLAY which is expected to show an improvement in collections as the weekend progresses.

As obvious, Yash Raj Films’ Aamir, Katrina, Abhishek and Uday starrer DHOOM 3 was once again the preferred choice of the audience, even on the third Friday.
The Vijay Krishna Acharya directed film has netted 240 crore (Hindi version) at the end of the second week. DHOOM has thus become the biggest netter in the history of Bollywood, zipping past the Rohit Shetty directed Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer CHENNAI EXPRESS, which had ended its run netting 217 crore from the Hindi version.
