The Focker family is returning to the big screen, and this time Ariana Grande is joining the famous comedy franchise. The international trailer for ‘Focker-In-Law’ has been released ahead of the film’s theatrical release on November 25. The movie marks the first new entry in the franchise in sixteen years and brings back several familiar faces.
Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo are all returning to their respective roles. Along with the returning cast, the new movie introduces Ariana Grande, Skyler Gisondo, Beanie Feldstein and Eduardo Franco.
The story focuses on the next generation of the Focker family. Grande plays Olivia, who is engaged to Henry, the son of the Focker family played by Gisondo. However, their relationship quickly becomes a source of concern for DeNiro’s character, Jack Byrnes.
Olivia has an unusual career that makes Jack even more suspicious of her. She works as an FBI hostage negotiator, while Jack is a former CIA agent. His background and personality make him particularly doubtful about Olivia, setting up another round of family tension and comedy.
Ben Stiller returns as Greg Focker, who is once again expected to find himself caught between his family and Jack’s strong opinions. The trailer suggests that Greg may have to deal with Jack’s questions while also trying to protect Henry and Olivia from unnecessary family drama.
John Hamburg, who co wrote the earlier ‘Meet The Parents’ films, returns as the writer and director of ‘Focker-In-Law’. Ilana Glazer and Austen Earl have also contributed to the story.
The movie is produced by Robert DeNiro, Ben Stiller, John Hamburg, Jay Roach, John Lesher and Jane Rosenthal.
‘Focker-In-Law’ is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 25, placing its release during the Thanksgiving holiday period. With the original cast returning and several new actors joining the story, the film brings the Focker family back after a sixteen year gap.
