Ciara and Russell Wilson are preparing to welcome another member into their family, but their children may be even more excited about the new arrival than their famous parents. The couple recently announced that they are expecting another baby, and they shared an adorable video showing how they broke the news to their children.
In the Instagram video posted Monday, Russell gathered the family together, including Future, 12, Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2. Future is Ciara’s son from her previous relationship with rapper Future. Russell told the children that they needed to take a group picture and record a video to send to their relatives. Future immediately wanted to know why they were doing it.
“Why?” asks Future. Russell replied, “Because we gotta send it to them.” He then asked everyone if they were ready and led the family in counting together, “Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco!” The children initially looked confused about what was happening. Russell then revealed the reason for the surprise.
“Mommy’s pregnant!” he announced.
Future immediately reacted with shock and excitement. “Actually?” he asked before shouting, “No way…the speculations were true! I knew it.” His younger siblings then ran around the room screaming with excitement. The couple described the sweet family moment as “the best moment of all” in their Instagram post.
Ciara and Russell had publicly announced the pregnancy one day earlier. In the video shared on Instagram, Ciara was seen hanging white T shirts on a clothesline. Each shirt represented a member of their family. The final item was a tiny onesie, which represented the baby on the way. Both parents shared the same emotional caption, “One more person to Love 🖐🏽🥺🖤.”
Ciara, 40, became a mother for the first time in May 2014 when she welcomed her son Future with rapper Future. She began dating Russell Wilson, 37, in 2015, and the couple married in July 2016 in England. They later welcomed daughter Sienna in April 2017, son Win in July 2020 and daughter Amora in December 2023.
Russell has previously spoken about wanting to have another child. Ciara revealed that her husband had already brought up the idea of having another baby shortly after Amora was born.
“He was like … ‘So, cinco?’” Ciara told Us Weekly in June. She jokingly responded, “Wait a minute now, like, slow it down, sir. We just had a baby here. Let’s be in this moment here, sir.”
However, Ciara has also made it clear that she loves being a mother and has not completely ruled out expanding their family. “I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all. And I couldn’t stand here and tell you, like, that I don’t see that happening one day in our lives to have cinco.”
With another baby now on the way, the Wilson family is getting ready for another exciting chapter, and judging by the children’s reaction, the newest family member is already eagerly awaited.
