Hailey Bieber is celebrating her Brazilian heritage in a bold new magazine shoot. The Rhode founder, 29, appears on the cover of ICE Magazine’s third edition, known as “The Brazil Issue,” where she poses without clothes while holding a can of the popular Brazilian soft drink Guaraná Antarctica. The striking photos were taken in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival 2026 by her longtime friend and photographer Renell Medrano.
For the cover shoot, Hailey kept the look simple, using tan lines as part of the styling. The model has also embraced Brazilian fashion and beauty traditions throughout the issue. In one of the photos, she wears a pink and yellow tape bikini inspired by a Brazilian sunbathing trend that uses coloured electrical tape to create sharp tan lines. She also appears in a sheer yellow Only Hearts bra along with a dramatic headpiece designed by Piers Atkinson.
The shoot marks a different side of Hailey, who previously said she was not comfortable with the idea of posing completely n**e. During a 2021 conversation with “Insecure” star Yvonne Orji, she said she would not want to be photographed naked. However, she explained that her long friendship with Medrano helped her feel comfortable enough to try something different for the magazine.
Hailey said she trusts Medrano and feels comfortable when the photographer pushes her to see herself in a different way. She explained that their friendship gave her confidence during the shoot and allowed her to feel comfortable showing a side of herself she would not have shared with someone else.
The magazine shoot also has a personal meaning for Hailey because of her family background. Her mother, Kennya, is Brazilian, while her maternal grandfather was Grammy winning composer and bossa nova musician Eumir Deodato. Hailey said that her mother and grandmother helped develop her love for Brazilian culture because it is an important part of their family background.
Hailey also credited the women in her family for helping her become more comfortable with her body. She said watching her mother feel confident in her own skin helped her learn to embrace herself as well.
The photos quickly received attention on social media, with several members of Hailey’s famous circle reacting to the cover. Ireland Baldwin commented with a string of fire emojis, while Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner also shared enthusiastic reactions.
The project also supports a social cause. A portion of every magazine sale will go to the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Women in São Paulo, with Hailey matching the total contribution.
The cover comes shortly after Hailey appeared in another steamy photoshoot with her husband Justin Bieber for the first issue of WYouth. Together, the two appearances show Hailey embracing a more confident and personal side of her public image.
