Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas recently joined the thousands of people who have been protesting against police brutality and systemic racism this weekend in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The nationwide protests were sparked by the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck during his arrest.

As per reports, The police officer, Derek Chauvin, has eversince been charged with second degree murder, while three other officers present have been taken into custody.
The star couple were dressed in all black outfits and joined other protestors alongwith their friends.
The 24 year old Game of Thrones star, who’s pregnant with her and Joe’s first child, took to her Instagram account where she shared a string of snaps from the day.
In the first picture, protestors can be seen laying face down in an open, grassy area. The second snap features Sophie Turner sporting bear-printed pajama pants, a black sweatshirt, and a face mask, holding a placard that read, “White silence is violence.”
Sophie Turner also posted a video which was filmed by Joe Jonas, in which she waves her sign as the crowds chanted: “No justice, no peace.”
Jonas also shared a selfie taken by their pal Paris Carney, in which they wear masks and shades, and captioned his post, “Black Lives Matter.”
The comment section of both Sophie Turner and Jonas, were met with heartfelt messages with support from fans and friends alike.
“YEEEEEEES!! So proud of you babe. I know how hard it is to be out in the world right now and your courage speaks VOLUMES,” singer and actress Alexandra Shipp wrote.
“I am constantly in awe of your strength! Thank you for this, Queen, I love you an insane amount ❤”
Alexandra also posted a comment on Joe’s post: “THANK YOU! This means so much to not only those closest to you but the world! You are an ally! Love you!”
