An action packed teaser trailer has been released for ‘The Beast’, an upcoming film starring Samuel L. Jackson, Joel Kinnaman, Colin Morgan and Guy Burnet. The movie is directed by Renny Harlin, a filmmaker known for action films including Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Exorcist: The Beginning and The Strangers movies.
The screenplay for ‘The Beast’ has been written by Umair Aleem. The story puts the U.S. president in an unusual and dangerous situation when a group of unidentified attackers launches a coup.
The official synopsis reads: “When a militia of unidentified hostiles coordinates a coup against the U.S., the president is forced to drive the presidential limousine and unlock the full extent of The Beast’s highly classified offensive capabilities to save his injured Secret Service agent, reunite with his wife, and save the world.
The film centres on the presidential limousine, which is far more than an ordinary vehicle. As the attack begins, the president is forced to take control of the car and discover its secret offensive abilities.
Samuel L. Jackson plays a key role in the story, with the film placing his character in the middle of a high stakes situation involving an armed attack, an injured Secret Service agent and a race to protect his family and the country.
The teaser gives viewers a look at the film’s action driven approach, with the presidential vehicle becoming an important part of the story. The combination of a powerful car, hidden weapons and a national crisis forms the main setup for the movie.
Renny Harlin’s previous work includes several major action titles, making ‘The Beast’ another project focused heavily on large scale action and suspense. Umair Aleem serves as the screenwriter.
The film stars Samuel L. Jackson alongside Joel Kinnaman, Colin Morgan and Guy Burnet. Their characters become involved in a story that takes place during an unprecedented attack on the United States.
‘The Beast’ is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 9th. The teaser introduces a film built around a presidential crisis, a heavily equipped limousine and Samuel L. Jackson at the centre of the action.
