You Can See Everything teaser: Nathan Fielder’s secret Elizabeth Holmes documentary is finally revealed

Nathan Fielder’s secret documentary about Elizabeth Holmes has premiered at Telluride and will arrive in theatres from A24 in October.

A documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes that Nathan Fielder had been quietly working on for years has finally been revealed. Titled “You Can See Everything,” the documentary premiered as the Telluride Film Festival’s closely guarded secret screening on Sunday night. The film is co directed by Fielder and documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim. A24 has confirmed that the documentary will be released in theatres in October, along with the unveiling of its teaser trailer.

The documentary follows Holmes, the former Silicon Valley entrepreneur who was convicted in connection with the collapse of Theranos. According to A24’s official synopsis, the story begins 34 days before Holmes reported to federal prison. During this period, Holmes invited a “skeptical film crew” to document her daily life and activities. What initially appeared to be a close look at Holmes as a person eventually became a much larger project.

A24 describes the documentary as “a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss.” The description suggests that the filmmakers continued following the story for three years, taking the project far beyond its original idea of an intimate character study. The documentary is expected to offer a detailed look at Holmes and the circumstances surrounding her life after the Theranos scandal.

Fielder is known for his unusual approach to comedy and filmmaking. He created Comedy Central’s “Nathan For You” and HBO’s “The Rehearsal,” both of which are known for mixing real situations with carefully planned experiments and unconventional storytelling. “You Can See Everything” marks another major documentary project for him.

Oppenheim has also established himself as a documentary filmmaker through projects including “Some Kind of Heaven” and “Spermworld.” He also worked on the HBO docuseries “Ren Faire.” Alongside his documentary work, Oppenheim has recently moved into narrative filmmaking.

His A24 thriller “Primetime,” starring Robert Pattinson as television personality Chris Hansen, premiered at the Venice Film Festival just days before the Telluride screening. With “You Can See Everything,” Fielder and Oppenheim now turn their attention to one of the most closely followed business scandals of recent years, focusing on Holmes and the period leading up to and following her imprisonment.
