BLACKPINK singer Jisoo and Park Jung Min are awaiting the premiere of the much-awaited K-drama Newtopia. Recently the production team released a first teaser for the show, taking the viewers on an accelerated ride into this action-packed series. Set for a February 7, 2025, premiere, Newtopia is an intriguing love story set in a deadly zombie apocalypse backdrop.
The teaser begins with Young Joo, played by Jisoo, and Jae Yoon, played by Park Jung Min, announcing their break up. But just as they think they can finally move on, chaos breaks out as a zombie virus spreads through the world. The couple fights for survival in a world turned upside down by the zombie apocalypse. Young Joo is depicted as being attacked by zombies as she fights off zombies attacking her car, while Jae Yoon faces an overwhelming horde in a huge, looming structure in Seoul. Through the whole hysteria, even apart, the couple goes out on a limb to get reuniting, forming an emotional core for the high-stakes narrative.

Filled with flaming explosives, inventive weapons, and huge fights, Newtopia, will be an edge-of-your-seat thriller. It highlights the action dynamically switching between the packed streets of Gangnam and a skyscraper in downtown Seoul, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats, wondering just how far Young Joo and Jae Yoon would go to get back with each other.
Besides the teaser, there is also the final poster out in the market. The teaser shows Jae Yoon and Young Joo running toward each other through a slew of attacking zombies. Another integral character to the story is played by Kim Joon Han, Im Sung Jae, Kim Chan Hyung, and Tang Jun Sang.
