Joey King brought a soft and playful style to the European premiere of Practical Magic 2 in London. While the upcoming sequel has plenty of witches, magic and supernatural moments, King decided not to follow the popular trend of dressing according to a movie’s theme. Instead, she chose a romantic and dreamy look that gave the red carpet a completely different feel.
Styled by Jared Eng, King wore a custom butter yellow outfit from Miu Miu. The look included a long sheer dress worn over a matching bra and underwear set. The light yellow color gave the outfit a fresh and elegant appearance, while the sheer fabric added a bold touch.
The dress featured delicate puff sleeves and ruffles along the edges. Its long skirt flowed all the way to the floor, while gathers on the sides added extra shape to the outfit. Floral details were placed across the front of the dress, giving it a soft and romantic feel that looked more like a fairy garden than a traditional witch inspired look.

Underneath the sheer dress, King wore a matching yellow bra and underwear set, also from Miu Miu. The lingerie featured the brand’s black logo, creating a clear contrast against the soft pastel color of the outfit. She completed the look with pointed toe heels featuring unusual asymmetric straps.
Although the outfit itself did not strongly connect to the witchy theme of Practical Magic 2, King’s hairstyle brought a subtle touch of the movie’s world to the red carpet. Her hair was styled in long, loose waves with soft, curly bangs.
Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos explained that he wanted to keep the hairstyle connected to the theme of the movie while also bringing out King’s natural hair texture. The relaxed waves and slightly messy bangs helped create a magical and effortless appearance.
Practical Magic 2 is the sequel to the 1998 cult classic Practical Magic. The original film starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who come from a family with a long history of witchcraft and a family curse.
Bullock and Kidman have returned for the sequel, while Joey King and Maisie Williams join the new generation of the Owens family. The film is scheduled to release on September 11.
With the promotional tour now underway, the cast is expected to deliver more interesting red carpet looks. While some stars may choose outfits inspired directly by the magical world of the film, Joey King has already shown that a softer and more modern approach can also make a strong statement.
