‘The White Tiger’ trailer is out now, and it will surely give you goosebumps.
Netflix dropped the official trailer for the upcoming drama film ‘The White Tiger’ featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rajkummar Rao, and Adarsh Gourav in the lead.
Based on Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name, the film revolves around Balram Halwai, a man born in extreme poverty who struggles to rise from the bottom of the Indian social class.
The trailer shows Balram (Adarsh) who becomes a driver for a rich couple, Ashok (Rajkummar) and Pinky (Priyanka), who have just returned from the US. But his life changes with a shocking twist as the couple tries to trap him in a road accident case to save themselves. Balram then rebels and rises to become a new master of his own.
Netflix’s official synopsis for the film is as follows: “The ambitious driver (Adarsh Gourav) of a rich Indian couple (Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao) uses his wit and cunning to escape from poverty and become an entrepreneur.”
The film also features Mahesh Manjrekar and Vijay Maurya in pivotal roles.
Written and directed by Ramin Bahrani, ‘The White Tiger’ is produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Mukul Deora. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay serves as an executive producer.
The film will begin streaming on January 22, 2020.
