After seven years of letting her music tell her story, Dhvani Bhanushali is ready to reveal a little more of the person behind the voice. The singer has announced her upcoming five-track EP, ‘FEELS’, describing it as a deeply personal project built from thoughts, emotions and experiences gathered over the years.
Taking to social media to make the announcement, Dhvani shared that FEELS is not simply an album or a collection of songs. Instead, the EP brings together different pieces of her life thoughts about family, dreams, insecurities, decisions and the conversations she has had with herself.
“Pichhle 7 saalon mein, you heard my songs, but you never really heard me the real stuff,” Dhvani said, offering fans a glimpse into the emotion behind the project.
According to the singer, many of the ideas that eventually became songs started as personal thoughts that she wrote down without initially intending to create an album. Some were inspired by things people said to her, while others came from things she told herself or moments she feels she should have experienced differently.
“Kuch cheezein jo log mujhse kehte hain, kuch cheezein jo main apne aap se kehti hoon… maine ye saari baatein likhi, not as my album but as pieces of my life,” she explained.
Now, those pieces of her life are set to become music that she can share with her audience.
The five tracks of FEELS will be released over the next three months, with each song expected to explore a distinct emotional space. Dhvani describes the project as “5 different moods, 5 different fears and 5 different versions of me and maybe you.”
While she has chosen not to reveal details about the songs or collaborations just yet, the announcement has already created curiosity around what this new chapter will sound like. Rather than introducing a completely new persona, FEELS appears to be about taking listeners closer to the real Dhvani the person whose experiences and emotions have quietly existed behind her music all along.
“Ye sirf 5 gaane nahi hain, ye meri duniya hai,” she says. And with that, Dhvani is extending a simple invitation to her listeners: after years of hearing her songs, this time, listen a little closer.
