Kylie Minogue brought her 2026 AFL Grand Final performance to the skies above the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, September 26. The Melbourne born pop star made her first appearance at the AFL Grand Final, performing a 10 song set before the Fremantle Dockers faced the Brisbane Lions.
The performance featured several large scale elements, including a giant red football carrying Kylie’s name, a group of dancers and multiple costume changes. One of the most noticeable moments came when Kylie performed from a circular platform suspended above the crowd, giving the show an aerial element.
Kylie was joined by G Flip, William Barton and Dom Dolla during different parts of the performance. According to reports, G Flip returned after their own opening set to sing and play guitar with Kylie on “Padam Padam”. William Barton appeared during “Confide in Me”, while Dom Dolla joined Kylie for the finale with his remix of “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”.
The singer also moved through several different looks during the performance. In one section, she wore a fitted black mini dress with fishnet tights and metallic gold knee high boots. Another outfit featured a black top with long red, white and silver streamers flowing around her as she performed.
For the aerial section, Kylie changed into a flowing white outfit with a silver trimmed bodice and sunglasses. She also performed alongside dancers carrying oversized red feather fans.
The AFL Grand Final setlist included 10 songs, beginning with “Love at First Sight” and “In Your Eyes”, followed by “On a Night Like This”, “All the Lovers”, “Spinning Around”, “Confide in Me”, “Slow”, “Padam Padam” and “The Loco-Motion”. The performance ended with “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” and the Dom Dolla remix.
The performance also marked a homecoming for Kylie, who spoke about returning to Melbourne before the event. She told the AFL, “They’re getting a Melbourne girl performing in her hometown, which is wild to me.”
