Miley Cyrus is entering a new chapter with Bass Persuades, her 10th studio album, which will arrive on September 18 through Atlantic Records. The announcement also brings a notable shift in how the pop star is presenting herself, with her latest campaign using simply “Miley” rather than Miley Cyrus.
The 10 track album follows her 2025 release Something Beautiful and includes collaborations with Model/Actriz on “Different Religion” and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow on “Neon Signs”. The tracklist also features “Let’s Get Married”, “Orbit”, “Aftermath”, “REDLIGHTS”, “Innocent Ways” and “Snow”, along with a “Bass Persuades Remixx”.
Cyrus described the meaning behind the album title in her announcement, writing that music can be “powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong” and encompasses everything from heartache to the fuller range of experiences in between. The project has been visually accompanied by photography from Mert Alas, with creative direction involving Alastair McKimm.
For fans waiting to see her back on a major stage, Bass Persuades will be followed by two special concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and October 18. The shows will mark Cyrus’ first performances at the iconic venue, with Model/Actriz listed as the special guest.
The Hollywood Bowl dates are particularly significant for Cyrus, who has spoken about the venue as a favourite place to experience live music. “I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage,” she said while announcing the shows, adding that Los Angeles is her heart and that she is bringing the new music home.
With Bass Persuades arriving less than a year and a half after Something Beautiful, and the Hollywood Bowl dates giving fans a rare opportunity to see her perform in a major Los Angeles setting, Miley is turning the album announcement into the beginning of a new live era rather than simply another studio release.
