The film’s journey started on a concerning note, with an opening day earning of only 25 lakhs. While there was a slight recovery on the second and third days, with collections of 55 lakhs and 50 lakhs, the downward trend quickly resumed after that.
As of now, the total box office collection stands at a mere 1.87 crore, and it is unlikely to even cross the 2 crore mark. This performance has led many to speculate that I Want To Talk would have fared better as an OTT release, considering its niche appeal. Its failure at the box office could prompt a digital release in the near future, where it may potentially find a more receptive audience.
The film has marked one of the weakest openings in Abhishek Bachchan’s career.
