Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor, has comfortably crossed the 200 crore mark and is now the second highest-grossing Bollywood film in India for 2024, with a total of 222.10 crores at the end of its second weekend. Although the film had a promising start, bringing in 125.20 crores over its opening weekend and 186.90 crores by the end of the first week, it seems to have underperformed slightly when considering the high expectations and budget.
Despite solid franchise appeal and cameo-loaded scenes from Shetty’s Cop Universe, it faced stiff competition from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which now looks poised to take the lead at the box office.
On day 10, a boost to 14 crores from Saturday’s 12.50 crores suggests some resilience, as no major releases will compete until Pushpa 2 arrives on December 5. This might give Singham Again a chance to reach the 300 crore club if it maintains its current momentum.
With its current earnings, it has edged past Fighter (215 crores) to become the year’s second-highest Bollywood grosser, though it remains far behind Stree 2, which holds the top spot with a remarkable 627.50 crores.
