The Sabarmati Report, a political thriller starring Vikrant Massey and Raashii Khanna, has made a significant impact at the Indian box office. The film, based on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident, opened with a strong Rs 1.25 crore and has continued to perform well, with collections ranging from Rs 1.50 crore to Rs 1.60 crore on its sixth day of release. As of early estimates, the film’s cumulative box office collection stands between Rs 10.15 crore and Rs 10.25 crore, benefitting from the Maharashtra Elections holiday on November 20.
Vikrant Massey, known for his diverse roles in Bollywood, including Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do, and A Death in the Gunj, has recently received widespread attention for his role in The Sabarmati Report. His recent success also includes the 2023 film 12th Fail. Vikrant’s upcoming project, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, will see him collaborate with Shanaya Kapoor.
