Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, has experienced a steady dip at the box office. On its first Tuesday (Day 5), the film earned ₹2.15 crore in India, bringing its total to ₹23.35 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film, which released on October 11, clashed with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra, but managed to surpass it in terms of box office collections.
The film opened with ₹5.5 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹6.9 crore on Day 2, ₹6.4 crore on Day 3, and ₹2.4 crore on Day 4. The Hindi occupancy rate on Tuesday was 11.07%. Despite its performance, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has earned less than Rajkummar Rao’s previous hit Stree 2, which collected ₹38.1 crore on its fifth day, and Triptii Dimri’s Bad Newz, which earned ₹3.75 crore on Day 5.
The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri as the leads, alongside a stellar cast that includes Vijay Raaz, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar. The plot revolves around the comedic yet chaotic efforts of Vicky and Vidya, who, along with their families, go to great lengths to recover their missing “suhagraat CD” in Rishikesh, with hilarious moments including graveyard trips and family interventions.
Produced by T-Series Films, Balaji Motion Pictures, Wakaoo Films, and Kathavachak Films, the film’s unique premise and ensemble cast have attracted attention, but the box office numbers are yet to match the success of Rajkummar’s previous projects.
