Christopher Nolan fever grips fans! Interstellar re-release sells 50,000 tickets in 48 hours

The phenomenal effect of the upcoming release of Christopher Nolan’s film Interstellar has already attracted over 50,000 viewers waiting for the showings to open on February 7, 2025-the film’s tenth anniversary.

Christopher Nolan’s 2014 science fiction epic has become an instant hit, selling more than 50,000 tickets in all cinemas in those two days. Each day, ticket sales jumped high, and the frenzy level superbly heightened, though it has only been 20 days since its theatrical return.

One of the defining science fiction classics, also it is true for some of its most revered works by Christopher Nolan, this is the story of the ventures of NASA astronauts, star-studded with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, where due to famine and pestilence, the Earth starts becoming an increasingly less habitable place for humankind and hence the astronauts are exploring somewhere else as a habitat for mankind.

One of Nolan’s best-selling films in theaters, and with a total world gross exceeding $681 million and earning domestic success with nearly $188 million for the initial theatrical run, the movie ranks at the fifth slot among his biggest grossers.

Interstellar will return to Indian cinemas on December 6, 2024. It was scheduled to be released in late October but got stuck in December as it clashed with the upcoming release of *Pushpa 2* in IMAX theaters. Other than that, Interstellar would still be battling another one called Badass Ravikumar and Loveyapa at the Indian B.O.

Interstellar will re-open as it marks ten years since its release on November 7, 2014.
