Moana 2 is preparing to welcome the big day, a period of just a few weeks. It has already broke the record for this year. On Monday, it became the highest pre-sale film of the year over Inside Out 2 that is considered to be one of the biggest blockbusters for this year. The film will release along with the other two big movies namely Wicked Part 1 and Gladiator II. Check down below for the deets.

For the uninitiated, it is the sequel of the 2016 film directed by Chris Williams and Don Hall. Critics wrote glowing reviews for it. The movie also did economically well. Fans have been following it for a long time, and the popularity levels are so high that now another live-action remake has been in development. Dwayne Johnson is again heard voicing Maui, with Auli’i Cravalho in the role of the titular character. Returning from the previous movie are Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel House, and Alan Tudyk.

The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Moana 2 has broken records of first-day advance ticket sales. According to the analysis of the online retailer Fandango, the report states this new animated musical sold more tickets than any other 2024 animated movie, including the Disney/Pixar summer 2024 blockbuster Inside Out 2.
