India Box Office Collection
Day 1 (20 Dec): ₹8 cr nett
A great opening, especially for the Hindi and Telugu dubbed versions.

Day 2 (21 Dec): ₹13–14 cr nett
The film showed good growth, which brought its two-day total to ₹21.50 cr nett in India.

1. Hindi Markets:
The Hindi version, with Shah Rukh Khan lending voice to Mufasa, remains the collection leader. SRK’s star value has been instrumental in getting good footfalls in northern and metropolitan areas.
2. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana:
The Telugu version, voiced by Mahesh Babu, also accounted for a significant portion of the collections, mainly from southern states. Mahesh Babu’s massive fan following in the South boosted the film’s earnings, reflecting a well-balanced box office performance across India.

The 2019 original had a stronger opening, collecting ₹11.10 crore net on Day 1.
Mufasa: The Lion King grossed around 80% of what its predecessor did on Day 1, which is quite a great opening considering how box office dynamics are changing.

In North America, the movie has an average opening as it is facing tough competition from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is currently dominating the market. However, worldwide, Mufasa: The Lion King will pick up pace during the Christmas and New Year holidays, with strong momentum from international markets.

With its consistent collection growth and good acceptance among all three versions, be it English, Hindi, and Telugu, the movie is likely to collect around ₹33 crore net from India by the end of the opening weekend.
