The newly released Telugu fantasy thriller KA by Kiran Abbavaram is doing everyone’s job with the box office. And especially during such times when movies like Amaran, Bagheera, and Lucky Baskhar are pulling out all stops. The total India net collection for this film after 12 days has been recorded at 24.10 crore and grossed 28.43 crore, thus close to the 30 crore mark while crossing the break-even point of 22 crore. The film’s steady run at the box office manifests the good word-of-mouth buzz it garnered from the audience.
On day 12, KA gathered 0.75 crore; it was lesser as against day 11 at 1.75 crore collection. Though the film has brought down the collection on day 12, the Return on Investment (ROI) is at 2.1 crore, which is a 9.54% ROI percent. The financial stability on that count put KA officially into the “safe zone” as the movie not only recovered its production cost but started generating profits.
Filmmakers have denied all the recent rumors that KA is being readied for release on OTT. They clarified this by saying they were planning to keep the movie only in theaters for the time being because it should be appreciated on the big screens. It will go on to continue its box office run and fetch better collections over the coming days.
Given the current momentum, KA still has room for growth, especially with steady support from fans and favorable word of mouth, which might help it sustain and potentially increase its daily collections.
