L2: Empuraan, the highly-awaited action thriller featuring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is still creating waves at the box office since its release. Up to Day 6, the movie has earned more than Rs 5.75 crore on advance bookings alone and will garner more than Rs 8 crore in Kerala on its sixth day, cementing its place among the top Malayalam movies ever.

The movie has gone on to score remarkable milestones, with its five-day total Kerala gross of Rs 55 crore, which saw L2: Empuraan become the fastest Malayalam movie to breach the Rs 50 crore barrier. It broke the earlier record-breaker, Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo. Moreover, the film crossed the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark in a mere five days, a record for a Malayalam movie, and entrenched its position in the domestic and foreign markets as well.

International Success and Cast Highlights

Owing to its healthy overseas performance, L2: Empuraan is making waves beyond India. On Day 5, the worldwide collection was at Rs 28 crore, riding the Eid festival. However, some declivity in overseas revenue is likely on Day 6. The movie has an impressive cast such as Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, among others. Directed by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions, the movie is still doing incredibly well in theaters, and its fans are looking forward to more news about its box office run.
