Mechanic Rocky, the Telugu action comedy starring Vishwak Sen, has been gradually facing a decline in its box office collections since its release. Though the film’s earnings aren’t catastrophic, they are less than expected, especially with the hype around it.
On its 4th day, the film witnessed a significant fall in earnings. The movie collected 74 lakhs, which is the lowest collection so far. This is the first time the film’s daily earnings dipped below the 1 crore mark. The movie had opened with a solid 1.55 crore on its first day, followed by a slight drop to 1.33 crore on the second day. On the third day it could collect 1.24 crore while slipping to 74 lakhs at day four with a percentage dip of 1.24% in collections from the previous day’s collections.
With a 4-day total collection of 4.86 crore, it is yet to touch 5 crore, and on this trend, it shall be very hard for even the 6 crore mark. It’s totally because of word-of-mouth which may see some good support in terms of collection at the box office if a good response pours in following positive words about the film. As of now though, it will need another 1 crore kind of day at the box office for things to gain further momentum.
Directed by Ravi Teja Mullapudi, Mechanic Rocky also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Shraddha Srinath, Sunil, and Naresh in key roles. The film’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
The film still has a chance to pick up in terms of box office performance but will need a lot to turn it around and avoid the downward trend.
