Netflix has announced that Emily In Paris will return for its sixth and final season this Christmas. The popular series will come back with Lily Collins once again playing Emily Cooper, as the character prepares to enter the final chapter of her journey.
The streaming platform has also released the first look at Season 6, giving fans a glimpse of Emily alongside familiar characters including Gabriel, Mindy, Alfie and Sylvie. The new season is scheduled to premiere on December 24.
Netflix shared the announcement on Instagram along with several new stills from the upcoming season. The caption read, “It’s finally here! Say bonjour to your first look at EMILY IN PARIS SEASON 6, returning December 24th!”
The first look images show the characters in a variety of locations and situations. One picture features Alfie and Antoine Lambert talking at an evening gathering, while another shows Emily and Gabriel sharing a quiet moment near a flower stall.
Emily and Mindy are also seen sitting together on a bench in a Parisian park. Another image shows Emily taking a selfie in the courtyard of a French estate. Mindy and Alfie also appear together in a park.
The new pictures continue to highlight the fashion, relationships and social settings that have become a major part of the series. Emily is also shown sitting at her desk with her laptop while looking at a metallic gold stiletto.
Another still features Mindy inside an ornate ballroom, with Nicolas de León standing nearby. Sylvie Grateau is seen attending an evening cocktail party, while a group picture brings together Lucie, Sylvie, Emily and Mindy against a white sculptural backdrop overlooking the coast.
Emily is also seen walking along a sunny shoreline, suggesting that the final season will take the characters to several different locations.
Following Netflix’s announcement, fans quickly reacted to the news. One fan wrote, “CHRISTMAS IN PARIS. YES.” Another commented, “Make sure we get 35 episodes.” A third fan wrote, “DONT wanna say goodbye.” Several others shared red heart and teary eyed emojis.
Along with Lily Collins, the series stars Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Minnie Driver and Bryan Greenberg, among others.
Emily In Paris Season 6 will premiere on December 24 and serve as the final season of the series.
