Catherine Zeta Jones is stepping into a very different role with Kill Jackie, an upcoming action thriller series that follows a woman forced to face the dangerous life she left behind. The first trailer introduces Zeta Jones as Jackie Price, a former international drug smuggler whose carefully built new life suddenly comes under threat.
The eight episode series will premiere on AMC+ on October 2, 2026, with all episodes released on the same day. It will also be available on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland from October 2, 2026.
In the series, Jackie has spent the last 20 years staying away from her criminal past. After leaving her life as an international drug smuggler, she creates a quieter existence built around international travel and the fine art business. She deliberately keeps details of her earlier life hidden and appears to have successfully moved on.
That changes when Jackie discovers that seven highly skilled assassins, known as the Seven Demons, have been sent to kill her. With her life suddenly in danger, she realises that simply trying to escape will not be enough.
Jackie becomes convinced that someone connected to her past is responsible for the attempt on her life. Instead of waiting for the assassins to find her, she decides to take control of the situation. Her plan is to track down the Seven Demons and eliminate them before they can reach her.
The trailer gives viewers a first look at the action and also sets up the mystery surrounding Jackie’s former life. Her decision to return to the skills she once used to survive forms a major part of the story.
Alongside Catherine Zeta Jones, the cast includes Daniel Ings, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Óscar Jaenada, among others.
Kill Jackie is based on The Price You Pay, a novel by Sunday Times bestselling author Nick Harkaway. The series has been created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, Peter Lawson and Damon Thomas. Butterworth serves as the writer and showrunner, while Thomas is the lead director.
With its mix of action, crime and mystery, Kill Jackie follows a woman who must confront the person she once was when her hidden past comes back to threaten the life she has built.
