Netflix has released the trailer for its much-awaited documentary The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan. As the trailer of Netflix’s much-awaited documentary The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan comes out, the hype for the face-off between India and Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has reached a fever pitch. The series will be made available on February 7, 2025, once it is launched.

Directed by Chandradev Bhagat and Stewart Sugg and produced by Grey Matter Entertainment Production, the documentary compiles cricketing legends from both sides. The trailer starts with electrifying images of jam-packed stadiums, capturing the unmatched ambiance of an India-Pakistan showdown. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag begins by describing it as “more than just a game.”

Players such as Shoaib Akhtar and Inzamam-ul-Haq, from Pakistan, alongside Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, and Shikhar Dhawan of India, comment on what make it iconic: moments of these unheard stories along with feelings toward this historic rivalry. According to the promo’s caption by Netflix: The biggest rivalry told by the legends who lived it. An earlier teaser revealed a depth to the documentary featuring the India-Pakistan border; however, it also summarises the historical, geographical, and political aspects, for this is what they share when fierce competition breaks out. A clip features former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee watching an Indo-Pak match, which certainly adds to the nostalgic and historical appeal of the documentary.

This cricketing documentary is going to be one of the biggest spectacles ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will begin on February 19.
