Parineeti Chopra is set to make her OTT debut with the upcoming crime thriller series Shaque: Trust No One. The series, which was earlier titled Talaash: A Mother’s Search, is produced by Sapna Malhotra and Siddharth P Malhotra. Directed by Rensil D’Silva, who has previously directed films such as Ungli and Kurbaan, the series follows a mother whose life changes completely after her newborn daughter is abducted from a hospital.
The trailer introduces Parineeti Chopra as a new mother who is devastated after her baby goes missing. The story then moves forward by nine years, when the family appears to receive an unexpected reminder of the child they lost. The kidnapper seems to be taunting the parents by sending them pictures of their daughter. This development raises questions about what happened to the child and why the kidnapper has returned after so many years.
Parineeti’s character is determined to find her daughter and identify the person responsible for the abduction. As she begins searching for answers, she is forced to deal with secrets and situations that make it difficult to understand who she can trust. The series is built around the mystery surrounding the missing child and the mother’s efforts to uncover the truth.
The official synopsis of the show reads, “Nine years after her baby is abducted, a mother’s relentless search uncovers secrets around her and tests whether she can trust what she sees.”
Along with Parineeti Chopra, the series features Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harleen Sethi, Dhruv Chowdhary, and Sumeet Vyas in important roles. Their characters are expected to become part of the mystery as the story moves between the past and present.
Shaque: Trust No One marks Parineeti Chopra’s first major OTT series and comes with a crime story centred on a missing child and a mother’s search for answers. The series was earlier known as Talaash: A Mother’s Search, giving an indication of its focus on the mother’s journey.
Shaque: Trust No One will release on Netflix on September 24, 2026.
