The wait for The Remarried Empress is finally coming to an end. The upcoming fantasy romance drama has confirmed its premiere date as November 4. Based on the popular web novel of the same name, the series follows Navier, played by Shin Min Ah, a respected empress whose peaceful life changes after her husband Emperor Sovieshu, played by Ju Ji Hoon, falls in love with another woman.
Navier is introduced as the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. She has always been devoted to Sovieshu and their relationship appears strong at first. However, everything changes when Sovieshu meets Rashta, a runaway slave played by Lee Se Young. His growing feelings for Rashta create problems in his marriage and eventually lead him to make a decision that changes Navier’s life.
The newly released teaser shows the early days of Navier and Sovieshu’s relationship before their marriage begins to fall apart. Sovieshu confidently tells Navier, “No matter what, you are my one and only wife,” but his feelings begin to change after Rashta enters his life.
As Rashta receives the emperor’s attention and affection, her life changes completely. At the same time, Navier is forced to watch her marriage slowly collapse. She admits, “I never imagined this would happen to me,” as she faces a situation she never expected.
Things take another turn when Heinrey, played by Lee Jong Suk, enters the story. He is described as the “playboy prince from an enemy kingdom” and his arrival brings a major change to Navier’s life.
The biggest moment in the teaser comes when Sovieshu asks Navier for a divorce. Instead of begging him to stay or fighting against his decision, Navier calmly responds, “I accept this divorce.”
The moment marks an important turning point for Navier. While Sovieshu believes he is ending their marriage on his terms, Navier’s decision suggests that her story is only beginning.
