Tyler Perry is returning to Netflix with his upcoming drama film Tyler Perry’s Doing Life, which has now received its official trailer. The film tells the story of Anika, a single mother trying to survive while raising her family, and Carousel, a former convict who is looking for a fresh start after leaving prison. Written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry, the film is scheduled to premiere globally on Netflix on Friday, October 2, 2026. Naomi Baker plays Anika, while Jay Reeves takes on the role of Carousel. The supporting cast includes Tamberla Perry, Karen Obilom, Jasmine Sargent, Lucky Johnson and Danielle Moné Truitt.
