After the success of Laalo, National Award winning actor and producer Manasi Parekh and Parthiv Gohil are returning with their next Gujarati film, Mitrata. Produced under their production house Soul Sutra, the film focuses on friendship and the different emotions that come with close relationships. The film stars Viraj Ghelani, Deep Vaidya, Vishal Parekh and Vishwaa Joshi in important roles.
The makers have now released the teaser of Mitrata, giving audiences their first look at the film. The teaser appears to focus on the fun and lively side of friendship while also hinting at the emotional moments that can come with strong bonds. It brings together humour, conversations, youthful energy and moments of friendship, giving viewers an idea of the film’s overall mood.
Viraj Ghelani, Deep Vaidya and Vishal Parekh are seen sharing a comfortable and entertaining equation in the teaser. Their interactions suggest that the story will explore the everyday experiences of friends, including their jokes, arguments, madness and the memories they create together. Rather than focusing only on comedy, Mitrata also aims to show why some friendships remain important even as life changes.
Manasi Parekh, who is producing the film with Parthiv Gohil, also shares a personal connection with the project. Talking about Mitrata, she says, “Viraj and I have shared a friendship for a long time, so bringing a film like Mitrata to life with him has made the journey all the more special for me. From the very beginning, this film has been a labour of love for all of us at Soul Sutra, and I’m so happy that we now get to share it with audiences. Viraj Ghelani says, “Being part of Mitrata has been a very special experience for me because it brought together two things I genuinely enjoy: friendship and creating something with people you connect with. For director Oneel Karnik, Mitrata is also a significant project as it marks his first film. Mitrata is directed by Oneel Karnik and produced by Parthiv Gohil and Manasi Parekh. The Gujarati film is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 25, 2026.
