Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi criticize minister Konda Surekha for her shocking claims on Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce

The controversy surrounding the comments made by Telangana Minister Konda Surekha about the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu continues to escalate, with several major figures from the Telugu film industry speaking out in defense of the actors. Allu Arjun, Junior NTR, and Chiranjeevi have all issued strong statements condemning the baseless claims made by the minister.

Allu Arjun expressed his disapproval on social media, saying that such derogatory remarks go against the values of Telugu culture and emphasized the importance of respecting individual privacy, especially regarding women. He used the hashtag #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate to highlight the industry’s united stance against such attacks.

He wrote, ““I strongly condemn the baseless derogatory comments made about film personalities and film families. This behaviour is deeply disrespectful and goes against the values of our Telugu culture. Such irresponsible actions should not be accepted as normal. I urge the parties involved to act more responsibly and respect individual privacy, especially towards women. We must promote respect and dignity in social as a whole,”.

Junior NTR also criticized Konda Surekha, stating that dragging personal lives into politics represents a new low. He urged public figures to maintain dignity and respect for privacy, pointing out that careless and baseless statements, especially targeting the film industry, would not be tolerated.

He wrote, “Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy. It’s disheartening to see baseless statements thrown around carelessly, especially about the film industry. We will not sit quietly while others make baseless allegations against us. We should rise above this and maintain respect for each other’s boundaries. Let’s ensure our society does not normalize such reckless behavior in democratic India.”

Chiranjeevi expressed his deep disappointment over the comments, particularly about the minister dragging celebrities and women into political disputes for attention. He emphasized that the film industry often becomes an easy target for instant publicity and urged political figures to set a better example, calling for the withdrawal of the offensive remarks.

Chiranjeevi wrote, “I am extremely pained to see the disgraceful remarks made by an honourable woman minister. It is a shame that celebs and members of film fraternity become soft targets as they provide instant reach and attention. We as Film Industry stand united in opposing such vicious verbal assaults on our members. No one should stoop to this level for scoring political points by dragging unconnected people and more so women into their political slug fest and make distasteful fictional allegations. We choose our leaders to make the society a better place to live in, and not contaminate it by lowering the discourse. Politicians and people in honourable positions should set better examples. Trust the concerned will make amends and withdraw these malicious remarks immediately.”

These responses came after Surekha made inflammatory claims, suggesting that BRS leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) had interfered in Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s marriage, which supposedly led to their divorce. Surekha’s allegations that KTR’s involvement, allegedly tied to demands about Nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre, caused a rift in the family have sparked widespread outrage within the film community. All involved, including Samantha and Naga Chaitanya, have denied these claims and called for an end to the political speculation surrounding their personal lives.
