Manoj Bharathiraja, son of legendary actor-director Bharathiraja, died on Tuesday in Chennai from a heart attack at the age of 48. The untimely death has caused deep grief to the entertainment industry and family. On Wednesday, Suriya, the actor, went to Bharathiraja’s house to pay his respects. A video caught the emotional scene as Suriya, clearly upset, put a garland on Manoj’s mortal remains. He then sat next to Bharathiraja, giving him support and holding his hand in consolation during this trying time. Actor Kamal Haasan also shared his grief with a X post, announcing his shock at Manoj’s sudden demise and offering condolences to the bereaved family. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also shared his empathy, wishing for the soul of Manoj to rest peacefully.

Manoj Bharathiraja’s Untimely Death

Manoj’s death has come as a shock to all. His manager says that Manoj had recently had bypass surgery and was recovering when he died of a heart attack at his home in Chennai suddenly. Manoj’s father Bharathiraja was said to have been traveling home from Neelankarai when the accident happened. Funeral plans have not yet been made.
