Australian cricketer David Warner will have a cameo role in the forthcoming Telugu action entertainer Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula. Actor Nithiin plays the lead in the movie, and Warner’s participation is likely to thrill cricket fans as well as movie buffs. The news was announced by one of the producers of the movie, Y Ravi Shankar, at an event promoting Kingston, a movie starring G.V. Prakash.

The producer was thrilled about bringing the Australian cricketer to the Indian film industry. While Shankar apologized to the director, Venky Kudumula, for spilling the beans about the cameo without asking permission, the news has already generated interest among fans.

Nithiin’s Role in ‘Robinhood’

In Robinhood, Nithiin will be seen playing the character of Honey Singh, a dashing burglar who steals from the wealthy and gives to the poor. The character, as the name indicates, is an imitation of the mythical Robin Hood, with a twist.
