Kiran Abbavaram is making a comeback with a period action thriller titled KA. The teaser for KA was released on Kiran’s birthday, featuring intriguing elements such as a mysterious device with zodiac symbols. The teaser shows Kiran’s character, a postman, being questioned about his mysterious background and solitary lifestyle, hinting at a darker side to his persona.
Kiran shared the teaser on twitter with the line, “Naku Telisina Nenu Manchi..Naku Teliyani Nenu. (I know I am good, but there’s another side to me).” The teaser hints at various precarious situations without revealing much, with one character even calling Kiran’s character a jackal, adding to the intrigue.
Fans responded positively to the teaser. One compared Kiran to Upendra, a well-known actor in Tollywood, calling him the “Nimma Upendra of Tollywood.” Other fans praised the teaser, with comments like “Happy Birthday and the teaser looks good!!” and “Excellent ga undi Anna,” while one noted that the voiceover could use some improvement.
Kiran, who debuted with the 2019 hit Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, has had a career with both successes and setbacks, appearing in films like SR Kalyana Mandapam and Sammathame. After taking a break to reevaluate his career, he returned to the spotlight. His recent films, Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, Meter, and Rules Ranjann, received a lukewarm response in 2023. All eyes are now on KA, his anticipated comeback film.
KA is directed by debutants Sujith and Sandeep, and produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under Srichakraas Entertainments. The music is composed by Sam CS, and the film is set to be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
