At a Hyderabad star-studded pre-release event, award-winning director Sekhar Kammula released the highly anticipated trailer of Kuberaa with a star-studded cast consisting of Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. To add to the glamour of the event, director SS Rajamouli made an appearance as chief guest, generating buzz for the release of the film.
Trailer Suggests a Potent Socio-Political Thriller
The trailer begins with a beggar-like Dhanush reflecting on wealth and what it means to him. The tone immediately changes when Nagarjuna’s character, Deva, bluntly declares, “In this country, money and power work, not ethics or justice,” establishing the tone for a story entrenched in social and political turmoil. Rashmika Mandanna features prominently, seeming to be on Dhanush’s side while reminding him that power governs the world. One of the most memorable moments in the trailer is when it poses the question, “How did a beggar throw a whole government into risk?

The 2.5-minute teaser gives us hints of emotional depth, high-octane drama, and impactful dialogues. Dhanush’s character is intense and determined, Nagarjuna is seen to play a morally complex character who is against violence, and Rashmika is shown as a romantic interest and also a strong voice of reason.
Runtime, Certification, and Technical Crew
Previously cut at 195 minutes, the movie is now cut down to 181 minutes (3 hours and 1 minute) and has been given a U/A certificate by the CBFC. The producers had sent in the cut well in advance to prevent last-minute delays and had always intended to cut down.
With music by Devi Sri Prasad and Niketh Bommi handling the cinematography, Kuberaa is Dhanush’s debut with National Award-winning director Sekhar Kammula. The movie is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, with production design done by Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre, and styling provided by Kavya Sriram and Poorvaa Jain.
