Morning Madness! L2 Empuraan’s unconventional 6 AM release – Don’t sleep in

Mohanlal fans, prepare for an early morning rush as L2: Empuraan, the much-awaited sequel to Lucifer, is ready to start its first show at 6:00 AM IST on March 27, 2025. Director and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran announced the same on Instagram, sending fans all over the world into a tizzy. The movie will be screened at the same time across worldwide time zones so that fans from different parts of the world can enjoy the action-packed beginning.

Dramatic Poster Reveal and Worldwide Release

To build up the suspense, Prithviraj announced a new poster of Mohanlal in front of a sea of police officials, media representatives, and people, indicating the high level of stakes and intensity that lie ahead in the sequel. The caption confirmed the 6 AM IST release, with the film releasing in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. Global release will coincide with local time zones, thus becoming a global event.

Rumors and Clarifications

The buzz was momentarily deflated by rumors of a possible postponement of the film’s release. The creators, however, put paid to the rumors with an assurance that L2: Empuraan will release on March 27, 2025, as scheduled. The production team released a statement eliminating the misinformation and assuring the fans that there would be no postponement.

A Star-Studded Sequel

L2: Empuraan welcomes the comeback of Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab’ram (Stephen Nedumpally), with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the role of Zayed Masood. Directed by Prithviraj and written by Murali Gopy, the sequel is expected to have even more action and drama.
