Director Vignesh Shivan celebrated his 39th birthday on September 18 with a lavish getaway planned by his wife, actress Nayanthara. After initially celebrating with friends in Dubai, the couple jetted off to Greece, specifically Mykonos, to enjoy some quality time before returning to their busy schedules.
Nayanthara and Vignesh gave fans a peek into their vacation through Instagram stories, where they posted moments from their stay at the luxurious Kalesma Mykonos hotel. Nayanthara shared a video of the hotel’s warm welcome, which included a personal note and a framed family picture. Vignesh also shared stunning night-time views from their room. The couple appeared in matching white T-shirts, relaxing and soaking up the sun, with Nayanthara using emojis like angels and hearts to capture the mood.
Prior to their Greek adventure, Nayanthara posted a heartfelt message to Vignesh on Instagram, accompanied by romantic photos of them during his birthday dinner in Dubai. She expressed her love, writing, “Happyyyy Birthday My Everything. I love you beyond words could ever explain!” The pictures showed them sharing a kiss, with Nayanthara dressed in a stylish black top and olive green jacket, and Vignesh in a black T-shirt.
Nayanthara, who was last seen in the Netflix film Annapoorani, where she portrayed a chef overcoming societal challenges, has several upcoming projects, including Test with R Madhavan and Siddharth, and Thani Oruvan 2. She is also set to appear in films like Good Bad Ugly, Mookuthi Amman 2, and Maharani. Meanwhile, Vignesh is working on his next directorial project, Love Insurance Kompany, starring Pradeep Ranganathan.
