Prabhas fans in shock! The Raja Saab release faces unexpected delay

Following a string of huge budget flops such as Saaho, Radheshyam, and Adipurush, actor Prabhas seemed to be back in the game with Salaar Part One and Kalki 2898 AD. Yet, his new horror-comedy venture Raja Saab is already running into major roadblocks, with doubts raised about its release.

Production Delays and Missing Songs

Originally scheduled for release on April 10, Raja Saab is now unlikely to hit the screens on this date owing to a number of production-related problems. One of the major setbacks is that three songs in the movie are still to be shot. Secondly, the heroines Nidhi Agarwal and Malavika Mohanan are not available for these songs, further postponing the shoot. Fans have been eagerly waiting for Prabhas’ first foray into the horror-comedy genre, but these issues have created doubt about whether the film will release as scheduled.

Financial Troubles and Editing Challenges

The financial situation surrounding the film appears to be a key concern. Reports suggest that the production has struggled with paying technicians, leading to the cancellation of the film’s most recent schedule. Consequently, editing has lagged behind schedule, and so far, just over three and a half hours of the work is complete. Reducing it to the eventual release-length feature within a month, and doing the requisite visual effects, still appears a challenge.

Possible Release Delay

Should Raja Saab miss the April 10 release, its producers at People Media Factory are said to be thinking in terms of a Dussehra release. Still, this plan gets thwarted by existing competition for other big South Indian movies that have already booked dates for the second half of the year. To add to it, Prabhas’ own calendar is getting more crowded with other commitments such as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD’s sequel, making it difficult to pin down dates for Raja Saab.

With no new release date announced to date, fans and the industry alike are left in suspense about when these problems will be solved, and when Raja Saab will at last reach cinemas.
