The release of director Bhanu Bogavarapu’s much-awaited mass entertainer Mass Jathara, starring Ravi Teja in the lead, has been postponed. The film, which was originally scheduled to hit theatres on August 27, will now arrive at a later date.

Confirming the news on Tuesday, production house Sithara Entertainments issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter):
“Due to recent industry-wide strikes and unforeseen delays in wrapping up crucial content, #MassJathara will not be arriving on its planned date of Aug 27th. But the team is working relentlessly to bring you the BIGGEST MASS FEAST in theatres soon! New release date will be announced shortly.”

Fans Left Disappointed

The announcement has left Ravi Teja’s fans disheartened, as the film was highly anticipated for a Ganesh Chaturthi release. Expectations are sky-high, given the actor’s strong mass appeal and the promise of a full-on commercial entertainer. Actor Naveen Chandra, who plays a key role, recently revealed that dubbing for the project had begun. Describing the film, he said, “This one’s going to be loud, raw, and rooted,” while also expressing his excitement about teaming up with Ravi Teja and Sreeleela.
