Trisha Krishnan has started shooting for a new Tamil psychological horror film in London. The yet to be titled project marks an important milestone for Panorama Studios as it becomes the production house’s first Tamil film. The movie is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and stars Trisha alongside Radhika Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali.
The makers shared pictures from the beginning of the shoot, showing Trisha and Raja Krishna Menon with a clapperboard marked “Production no. 1 | Tamil”. The images also feature a striking hand motif in the background, giving a glimpse of the visual world being created for the film.
The story details are currently being kept under wraps. However, the film has been described as a psychological horror that combines mystery, suspense and emotional elements. Unlike horror stories that depend mainly on sudden scares, this project is expected to focus more on atmosphere and psychological tension.
For director Raja Krishna Menon, the project marks several firsts. It is his first film in Tamil cinema, his first psychological horror and his first story centred entirely around women. Menon is known for films such as Airlift, Chef and Pippa.
“Someone once quite aptly called me ‘genre agnostic’, and this film is another exploration in that journey. This is a story that is a first for me in many ways my first film in Tamil, my first psychological horror, and my first story centred entirely around women. Adding to that is the privilege of working with Trisha Krishnan, Radhika ma’am, Aparna Balamurali, the wonderful cast and a fantastic crew. It makes this journey all the more exciting,” he said.
The casting brings together performers from different generations of Indian cinema. Trisha is one of the established names in Tamil cinema, while Radhika Sarathkumar brings decades of experience across films and television. Aparna Balamurali has also earned recognition for her performances and won a National Award for Soorarai Pottru.

The film is presented by Panorama Studios in association with Locomotive Global. Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Sunder Aaron, Vikas Sharma and Amit Dalmia are producing the project, with Rajesh Menon and George Cameron serving as co producers.
The title, release date and further story details have not yet been announced. For now, the production has officially begun in London, marking Panorama Studios’ first Tamil venture and Raja Krishna Menon’s entry into Tamil cinema.
