Urvashi Rautela’s controversial comment! Her shocking response to being ‘S*xualised’ in Daaku Maharaaj

Urvashi Rautela, who recently played a cop in Daaku Maharaaj alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna, has found herself at the center of controversy. While her character was expected to embody authority, her introductory scene in yoga attire sparked debate over the sexualized portrayal of women in cinema.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Urvashi defended the depiction of her character, stating that actors should trust their directors. She said, “Filmmaking isn’t just about my perspective. The director is the captain of the ship, and their vision must be respected.” She emphasized that once an actor signs a film, questioning creative choices is not their role.

Backlash Over ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ Song
The song Dabidi Dibidi, choreographed by Shekhar Master, has also received heavy backlash. Social media users criticized the choreography, calling it ‘crass’ and ‘vulgar.’ The music video features Balakrishna engaging in controversial dance moves, including tapping Urvashi’s belly button to the beat and lifting her by her dress. Later, he is even seen hitting her on the rear, which many viewers found inappropriate.

Addressing the criticism, Urvashi said the negative response was unexpected. “The song is for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans, and the lyrics were crafted keeping them in mind,” she explained. She also defended the choreography, stating, “If you just focus on me in the frame, you’ll see that it’s really fantastic.”

Separating Identity from Work
When questioned about being part of such a song, Urvashi maintained that she separates her personal identity from her work. “It’s important to receive feedback wholeheartedly and not let it overshadow my passion and commitment to my craft,” she said.

Despite the controversy, Daaku Maharaaj continues to make headlines, leaving audiences divided over its creative choices.
